About Us

Established in 1971 by George Baker, my grandfather, Towne & Country Real Estate has been in the same location serving the real estate needs of the North Hills and beyond. Now a 3rd generation family business, we look to continue to serve buyers and sellers and those in need of appraisal services.

 

How We Got Started

Starting his real estate career with Northwood Realty, my grandfather set out on his own to establish Towne & Country Real Estate in 1971. Many member of my family have worked here including my grandmother Marge, great aunt Lee, mother and my former broker my father, also Reid Baker. My father became the broker when my grandfather passed in 1976. Keeping the business afloat through high double digit loan rates and all the other economic ups and downs over the past 43 years my father has always been a respected business member of the community. Now having been an appraiser since 1997 and sales associate since 2008 it’s my turn to take this business through the next several decades.

 

We look to work with home buyers and sellers that want an established local family business to handle all of their buying and selling needs. Also looking for customers in need of appraisal services (non-mortgage) such as tax appeals, fair market values, estate settlement, divorce settlement, etc.

Chris Grossman has been passionate about real estate since her earliest years. Having had the opportunity to live in many homes while growing up, she came to appreciate each structure and the neighborhoods which made them “home”. In 1984 Chris and her husband bought their first of three homes in the Shaler area.

 

While raising her family, Chris worked at the Shaler Area and Hampton Township School Districts and found the most satisfaction when helping others. In 2014, she combined her love of homes with her drive of service, and found her true calling in real estate, serving her clients by guiding them through one of the biggest investments of their lives, or assisting them with short term living arrangements in the best-suited locations.

 

Since then, Chris has secured 2.75 million dollars of real estate sales and lease transactions from Cranberry to Jeannette, and everywhere in between.
